BYU Chemical Engineering awarded national nuclear energy research scholarships

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced that BYU would be among the 32 colleges and universities receiving funding from the Nuclear Energy University Program (NEUP). BYU is nationally recognized for nuclear energy research, so this isn't the first award students and faculty have received in the field of study. Earlier this year, a team of BYU Chemical Engineering professors received another $800k grant to continue research in clean energy with molten salt reactors.

New Smithsonian exhibit features BYU professor and student duo’s portrait

This fall a new exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum features 46 portraits taken from photographers all across the country. But only one of the 46 pieces of art displays not one, but two artist names: Paul Adams, a BYU professor, and Jordan Layton, a former photography student.
