Q&A with BYU geography professor addresses drought conditions in Utah, offers water conservation tips
BYU geography professor Matt Bekker says record-breaking temperatures certainly contribute to Utah's water problem through evaporation, but the less-noticeable warming trend over months and years is the bigger problem. Most of the last 20 years have been drought years.

Drought Q&A
BYU professor Matt Bekker says solving Utah's water shortage won't be accomplished by water projects alone. Local conservation by homeowners, agriculture, and businesses, and careful management and better legislation by cities, counties, and state will be required.

Fallsafe
Too many seniors are suffering due to bathroom falls. Fallsafe works to make the bathroom, usually the most dangerous room for falls, safer for senior citizens, disabled persons, and caregivers. Currently we have a prototype for a shower and bathtub security deivce that is easily installed and allows the senior to fall without such serious injury.

Simple self driving lawn mower
I have built an effective, affordable, and safe self-driving lawn mower. Our mower uses off-the-shelf parts, and is optimized for cost to the consumer, while not compromising lawn mowing quality. We have done this by taking advantage of the lower part count of electric motors, and the lack of per-unit cost of software.

Because of the rigid structure and the sharp intersections, the kayak has a defined hull allowing for nice kayak control.
