Fast Pitches for Student Innovator of the Year Competition 2021-2022
Welcome Mentors
Fast Pitch focuses on helping SIOY teams to specifically improve their pitch delivery and content to prepare for showcase. Students were asked to film themselves speaking as they would at the Showcase event. As a mentor, you can contribute feedback on these teams' pitches through YouTube comments. Opportunities to leave feedback close on February 7, 2022 at 11:59 PM.

How can I leave feedback?

Click on each step for more information

  • In the first three columns, write your name in one of the mentor sign up columns for a least 3 teams.

    *If all three mentor sign up spots are full, please sign up for another team to ensure each team receives feedback.

    Sign Up for Teams

  • Look up the team using the search bar below and click on the video.

    *Team names can be found on the feedback sheet in column D.

  • Leave feedback in the YouTube comments section.

    To navigate to YouTube:

    1. Click the "Watch on YouTube" button. This will take you to YouTube.
    2. Scroll down to the YouTube comments section below the video.
    3. Write your feedback in a comment (Only you and the individual team will be able to view and make comments).
    4. Repeat for the remaining two pitches you signed up for.

    *You may need to sign in to your google account to leave a comment. Click the blue "sign in" button in the upper right corner to do so.

As you review teams' pitches, some helpful questions to guide your feedback response are as follows:

  • was it clear and concise?
  • was it informative of the three criteria on the judging rubric?
  • was it interesting and engaging?
