This role is designed to prepare candidates for independent project development within 3-4 years, with the ultimate goal of launching women into leadership roles within the real estate development field.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend all project and OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings; take detailed notes and document follow-up tasks for the team.
  •  Lead OAC meetings when the Lead Developer is unavailable and report back on decisions and action items.
  • Participate in DBW’s curriculum, including certificates, workshops, and shadowing opportunities, and apply learnings to real-world projects.

  • Plan and execute community engagement efforts, such as partner meetings and stakeholder check-ins to foster meaningful dialogue and feedback.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and partners to support broader community development initiatives.
  • Utilize Excel to track project timelines, update budgets, and manage proformas.
  • Prepare financing requisitions for submission to the Lead Developer.
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for all project documentation using platforms like Dropbox.
  • Utilize Asana to ensure projects remain on schedule and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Manage project financial data in QuickBooks, ensuring up-to-date and accurate reporting.
  • Assist in developing and documenting systems and procedures for efficient operations.
  • Support Lead Developers with financial, governmental, and grant applications.
  • Coordinate meetings with vendors, clients, and partners.
  • Oversee contracts with lenders, vendors, and clients, ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Apply industry best practices and standards, especially when handling sensitive data.
  • Monitor project progress and provide proactive recommendations to the Lead Developer.
  • Measure project performance, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to promote the mission of DBW and advance its projects.
