Dean of BYU College of Engineering featured on podcast

Listen to Dean Michael A. Jensen discuss the advantages and challenges of being an engineer.

Michael A. Jensen, dean of the BYU Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering, was recently interviewed for the Being An Engineer podcast.

Being An Engineer began in April 2020 and features conversations in which a variety of engineers share knowledge, experience, and advice related to their field. The weekly podcast is hosted by Aaron Moncur, a BYU alum and the founder of Pipeline Design & Engineering in Tempe, Arizona.

In this episode, Moncur and Jensen discuss a range of subjects, from working in academia, to mental health, to the aims of an engineering education.

“Engineering's not just about technology. It's about people,” Jensen says. “Keep it focused on people and being that constructive part, that service-oriented part of the world.”
