Gerry Kilcommins is the Vice President of Worldwide Operations for Medtronic’s Vascular businesses.

With over 25 years experience working in the healthcare industry, Gerry began his career as a Mechanical Engineer with Healthdyne in Shannon, Ireland and later joined Becton Dickinson in Dublin, Ireland. In the late 1980s, he joined CR Bard in Galway, which subsequently became part of Medtronic via acquisition in 1999. Since joining the company, Gerry has held various engineering and operations roles. Under his leadership, the Medtronic Galway site has continued to develop and grow, and today is one of Medtronic’s key shared manufacturing and technology centers of excellence, employing around 3,000 highly skilled people.

Gerry graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Degree in Manufacturing Technology and in 2003 was awarded a Masters in Management and Business Science from Trinity College, Dublin.

In 2008, Gerry was recognised with a Medtronic Wallin Leadership award. During 2011, Gerry held the position of President of the American Chamber of Commerce, Ireland.
