Amy Rees Anderson is the founder and managing partner of REES Capital, a mentoring and angel investing firm. Prior to founding REES Capital, Anderson was the CEO of MediConnect Global, a leader in medical record retrieval and management and one of the largest health information exchanges in the country. Under her leadership MediConnect grew over 1500 percent and she sold the company earlier this year to Verisk Analytics for $377 million.
Recently, Anderson also founded the IPOP Foundation, a charity focused on helping educate and mentor entrepreneurs.
Due to her many accomplishments in business, she has been featured in half a dozen national publications. She is an in-demand public speaker and respected mentor, and she teaches courses on entrepreneurship at a number of universities.
Anderson has been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards honoring her sharp business acumen and her company’s growth and success, which include receiving the BYU 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year award, being named a 2012 CEO of the Year by Utah Business Magazine, as well as being a recipient of the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
She attended Brigham Young University and she and her husband reside in Sandy, Utah, with their two teenage children.
