The College of Engineering offers several open lectures throughout each semester. Each lecture speaker, usually from an engineering or technology background, focuses on inspiring topics like innovation, collaboration, or leadership.

This month's speaker is Michael Jensen, dean of the BYU College of Engineering. Students and the public are invited to hear from a successful engineer, entrepreneur, academic, professor, father, husband, and faithful member of the Church.

About Michael Jensen:
Dean Michael Jensen has been a Professor of Electrical Engineering at BYU since 1994. He co-founded a software company in 1998 that was later acquired, and he co-founded Wavetronix, a manufacturer of radar devices, in 2000. He has published over 300 articles on his research in wireless communications, is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and is currently Dean of the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering. Dean Jensen is married to Angela, and they are parents of four children. He is currently on the High Council in a YSA stake.
