Connect with Student Clubs and Organizations
There are many clubs and academic societies for engineering students, with different emphases ranging from rocketry to biomedical engineering. Sponsoring a club event is a great way to find students involved in your expertise.
Capstone is a required, two-semester course for senior-level students, the heart of which is designing, testing, and prototyping a real-world industry engineering challenge. Multi-disciplinary teams of students from Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, and Computer Engineering work on hardware and software projects across a wide range of industries.
Each team is assigned a faculty coach and works with a liaison engineer from the sponsoring company. Research indicates that students work harder and more creatively when their projects are authentic and of real consequence to a company.
