APRIL STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
 
 

Meet Jefferson Santos Da Silva, a first-generation Ph.D student in Mechanical Engineering from Brazil. After feeling spiritually guided during his mission to attend BYU, Jefferson chose to study mechanical engineering because of the breadth of opportunities it offers. He has worked with BYU Rocketry and Wind Energy clubs and loves to research fluid dynamics in his Ph.D. When he’s not studying, he loves spending time with his wife and two kids. BYU Community Legal ClinicRun by law professors and law students at the BYU Law School, Thursdays from 5-7pm. Walk-ins welcome, but recommended to email ahead for an appointment. The Clinic mainly helps with immigration issues but is willing to hear about any legal issue and may refer you to other organizations or attorneys if the Clinic cannot help.
Financial Well-being: As the semester chugs on, you may have questions about your financial future. Whether wrestling with immediate concerns or long-term planning, BYU Enrollment Services has many resources for you, including a new series of articles on financial fitness with topics ranging from grocery shopping habits to managing your credit, understanding interest, protecting personal property, etc. Find the articles and other resources at financialplan.byu.edu, where you can also make an appointment for personalized financial information and guidance.

The BYU chapter of AIChE hosted the only Safety and Ethics Conference in the world with educational games, labs, lectures, and a mentoring event.



 
Middle school students came to BYU and explored science, math, and engineering at the Discover STEM Fair. The BYU Mars Rover team showed off what they've been working on.
