Technical Excellence
BYU campus has six dedicated engineering buildings including a 20,000 square foot Engineering Research Laboratory with wind tunnels, a water tunnel, engine test cells and a high-bay for several combustion reactors.
Students learn in a class 10 cleanroom and more than 100 state-of-the-art laboratories, including extensive facilities for designing, prototyping, manufacturing, and computing.

100% of students engaged in experiential learning through BYU Capstone, study abroads and mentored research.
The annual SIOY (Student Innovator of the Year) competition has kickstarted extremely successful businesses such as Owlet, MyoStorm, and PhoneSoap while several teams have gone on to participate in the hit ABC TV show Shark Tank.
